Cultural Arts Program
Students from all year levels are encouraged to participate in the Burdekin Inter-School Drama Festival. Students in drama classes also put on performances for school events and local primary schools.
The BCHS Art Department organizes annual displays of student’s work, and in recent years has been able to team up with the Technology Department to feature a display of craft and art works in Zaro’s Cultural Gallery in Queen Street in Ayr.
Students have the opportunity to participate in public speaking competitions, such as Rostrum. Our students have represented the school in the State Rostrum Finals.
