Vocational Education and Training (VET) in our Catholic Schools provides valuable opportunities for senior students to leave school ready for the workforce.
Burdekin Catholic High School is accredited as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to deliver certificate level qualifications.
All of the VET programs offered by BCHS can lead to nationally recognised qualifications – a certificate if a student completes all of the requirements of the qualification, or a statement of attainment for those parts that the student successfully completes (if you do not complete the full qualification). This certificate/statement of attainment will be recognised in all eight States/Territories in Australia. This is because in Australia we now have a national qualifications framework called the Australian Quality Framework (AQF).
